At the Marco Island Chamber of Commerce, one of our priorities is making those connections easier. This month’s Chamber News & Announcements includes an event I am especially looking forward to: Chamber After Five on August 19 at Paddy Murphy’s.

Our August Chamber After Five will take place on August 19 at Paddy Murphy’s, located at 1089 N. Collier Blvd., #440 on Marco Island. Chamber After Five is designed to bring our business community together after the workday and give members an opportunity to connect outside of the usual office environment.

As part of our ongoing Chamber News & Announcements, we encourage members to take advantage of events like this throughout the year. You do not have to arrive with a sales pitch or a stack of business cards and feel as though you need to talk to everyone in the room. Instead, think of it as an opportunity to have a few good conversations, learn about other local businesses, and introduce people to what you do.

There are more ways to market a business today than ever before. Social media, email marketing, digital advertising, websites, and online directories can all play important roles in increasing visibility. The Marco Island Chamber of Commerce is focused not only on supporting businesses located directly on the island, but also on strengthening economic relationships throughout the region. Naples and Marco Island are closely connected markets. Residents, visitors, business owners, and employees travel between the two communities every day.

For Naples businesses, becoming involved with our Chamber can provide an opportunity to increase visibility among Marco Island residents and visitors. For Marco Island businesses, those relationships can create connections with Naples professionals, companies, and potential customers. Summer can bring a different pace to Southwest Florida, which makes August an excellent time to focus on relationships before the busier months ahead.
