Marco Congregation’s Purim Fete

Jewish Congregation of Marco Island will be celebrating Purim, the jubilant Feast of Queen Esther, in the course of Sabbath worship.

Purim is traditionally a rollicking carnival-style event.  That evening’s reading of the Biblical Book of Esther will be highlighted by Cantorial Soloist Hari Jacobsen’s surprising parodies of pop-music; prizes will be awarded for the best costume and most outrageous noisemaker; and seasonal treats will be served at the ‘Oneg-Shabbat reception following services.

Guests from the community are always welcome to join the Congregation in Friday night worship at 991 Winterberry Drive, across from the Art Center.
